North Norfolk's Legendary Live Music Venues of the 1960s, 70s & 80s

The 2009 REUNION was held in the marquee at the Lighthouse Inn, Coast Road, Walcott, on Saturday 12th September featuring Magic Moments disco.  Although attendance was down slightly this year, those who went along enjoyed the evening.

Five musicians played in three different line-ups at North Walsham Community Centre on Friday 13th November.  First up were GLAM X, father and son Pat and Jo Rolph in their glam rock costumes playing music from T Rex, Bowie, the Bay City Rollers, Mud, Sweet and Slade.  After a swift change, they stayed on guitar (Pat) and bass (Jo) joining two original members of Links favourites SHY FLY, who reformed for last year's Reunion - Neil Pitcher (guitar and vocals) and Phil Buck (drums).  Songs included Status Quo and Free favourites and an expert rendition of 'Black Magic Woman'.  The evening finished with another band from the 'old days', FAT ALICE, featuring Bob Walker on guitar.  Phil Buck stayed on the kit and Pat Rolph produced a cunning disguise to take over bass duties.  Bob showed he had lost none of his old skill, with a superb display of guitar work on such classics as 'Purple Haze', 'Crossroad' and 'You shook Me All Night Long'.  A good night of live music.
